Cookies Policy
This policy explains how CayBook Ltd. ("CayBook", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on caybook.com and the CayBook apps. Read it together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. We also use similar technologies that work the same way: local storage and session storage (data saved in your browser) and, in our apps, data saved on your device. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of these.
2. How we decide which cookies to use
- Essential cookies are needed for CayBook to work, for example to keep you signed in, protect your account and remember your cookie choice. We don't need your consent for these, and they can't be switched off on CayBook.
- Analytics cookies help us understand how CayBook is used so we can improve it. We use them only if you say yes.
- Marketing cookies tell us which featured listing, ad or campaign link led to a booking, so we can measure our promotions and bill advertisers correctly. We use them only if you say yes.
Analytics and Marketing are off until you choose. Saying no doesn't affect your ability to search, book or pay.

4. Analytics provider
If you accept analytics, usage events (pages viewed, searches, booking steps, plus your random analytics ID or, if signed in, your account ID) are recorded in our own database and sent to PostHog, our analytics provider. We don't send your name, email or phone number. PostHog receives the data directly from us; it doesn't set its own cookies on CayBook.
5. Third-party content
Some features load content from other services. Those services receive your IP address and may set their own cookies under their own policies:
- Maps: map images come from OpenStreetMap's tile servers.
- Google sign-in: if you choose "Continue with Google", Google handles that step on its own pages.
- Payments: card details are entered with our payment processor, which may use cookies to prevent fraud.
6. Managing your choices
You can change your mind at any time on Your privacy choices, or with the button below. If you withdraw consent, we delete the analytics and marketing data stored in your browser straight away. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, you won't be able to sign in or book.
7. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the version and date above. If we add a new category of non-essential cookie, we'll ask for your consent again.
